We believe in building relationships, not just producing accounts — helping clients understand their numbers and grow with confidence.

Job Summary

Do you want the opportunity to join a practice where your input and expertise will be valued and recognised?

We’re looking for an experienced and qualified Accounts Senior (ACA/ACCA) to join our growing team. This is a hands-on and client-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working closely with small business owners.

You’ll prepare and review accounts and tax returns, supervise junior colleagues, liaise with clients, and provide business advisory insights. The position also offers a clear route to Client Manager, with suitability assessed after approximately 12 – 18 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies
  • Prepare corporation tax returns (CT600) and self-assessment tax returns
  • Review work completed by junior team members
  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide practical advice
  • Identify tax and business advisory opportunities for clients
  • Ensure all compliance deadlines are met and quality standards maintained
  • Support process improvements and promote cloud accounting tools
  • Assist with team development and workflow management

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice
  • Experience working with SME/owner-managed businesses
  • Strong working knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail and review skills
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused mindset
  • Proficient in Xero cloud accounting software
